For the first 6 months of the EHLS Program, classes are held at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Since the program is full-time and intensive, you should expect to spend much time on campus and commute daily.
Georgetown University does not provide housing for EHLS scholars. If you move to Washington, DC to attend the program, you will need to find your own off-campus housing. The University’s Off-Campus Housing office offers tips and resources for your search.
There is no student parking on the Georgetown campus and extremely limited street parking. You should plan to take public transportation.
The University runs shuttle buses between Georgetown and the two closest Metrorail stations, Dupont Circle and Rosslyn. The closest Metrobus and Circulator bus stops are 4 to 5 blocks from campus on M Street NW and Wisconsin Ave NW.
Bicyclists may park their bikes on racks situated on the campus. There is also a Capital Bikeshare station at the University’s main entrance on 37th and O St NW.
